Our first Battle Tops in 2010 was a spectacular success!   We met at Dave Souza's on Tuesday, April 19th with our freshly turned spinning tops and high hopes of placing well in the competition.  Half-time was met with the much needed nourishment of pizza and soda to keep our althletes in top shape for their grueling trials.

In the end, there can be only one.  Though it was a close competition, Harry Pye took the gold with his unique design.  He actually thought about physics...smarty pants!  Tom Metz with his mahogany marauder took a very close second, Ralph Walters took third with his maple maniac and Dave Souza took fourth with his osage rage.  Ralph also won the longest-spin contest coming in at 3 minutes and 49 seconds.
